RETIRE YOUR PENCIL - THIS IS A GREAT SUDOKU APP!
The feature I enjoy most is the existence of various options/modes for working within the puzzle. It is great to be able to highlight all of a certain number, then move to crosshatch mode to get a different perspective (while still holding the highlighting). The ability to update all VALID pencil marks at once is a feature that I find myself frequently employing. The statistics feature is nice for tracking improvement in time and number of moves. This is a great product at a very reasonable price!

I have to say that this is one of the best products in its category and class of game. I found the product to be very well written and pleasing from a UI perspective. I went thought the demo puzzles and when I had two puzzles remaining (of the 10 allowed) I decided to register. I would think that the author may get more advanced users to register the product if the demo allowed you to select a difficulty level for each of the 10 puzzles instead of always giving the beginner level. It is very nice to have a tool like this that you can take with you and work on a given puzzle when time permits. I would like to see the product have additional ability to customize it in the future (maybe support skins in the future), but the way it is today works quite well. I would highly recommend this product based on it professional look and feel along with a reasonable price. Customer service when I had a question was quick and responsive. The author was looking for feedback on how to make the product better. Keep up the great work.

VERY nice program with plenty of features. Numbers are easy to see and enter and I love the pencil marks on this one. I also really appreciate the fact that you can create your own custom puzzles (I like to create the same puzzles from the newspapers that my co-workers work on). The only "glitch", if you will, that I've encountered is when you are creating a custom puzzle and accidentally drop a number into a square that you didn't intend to drop it into, the "x" (delete) button does not work to remove it. You have to start over again with a new puzzle in order to create the puzzle the way you want. Perhaps this could be a quick fix in a future version. Otherwise I still give this program 5 stars! Truly addictive! -- Thanks!

Numberz is superior to almost all of the others in most every way. Memory usage is quite low; some competing programs use five or more times the memory. The display is easy on the eyes; it is colorful and clear. It works (almost) ideally (according to my definition of ideal, of course); competing programs require more taps for the same results. Numberz has smart user interaction elements that streamline the number of taps needed to do common tasks such as replacing all pencil marks with a value by a simple tap-n-hold.
Is everything perfect? Nope. You can't control the colors of all UI elements. There aren't any themes, including a custom theme, whereby you can switch all colors at once. There isn't enough control over the display elements you can change. For example, the user-entered values must be black, but you can choose the corona color to highlight them. You can't hide unwanted UI elements like the timer or cross hatch buttons, for example, which would simplify the appearance of the app.
There are only two functional suggestions I have for Numberz to make it perform ideally. The first has to do with what tapping does in manual pencil mark mode. The first tap in a square should enter the selected number as a pencil mark, not as a value. Tapping a square with a number for which a mark exists in the square should remove that number's mark or, if there are no other marks in the square, change the mark to a value. Tapping a square with a number that is already in the square as a value should erase the value. Second, I'd like a semi-automatic pencil mark mode that will revert to a value when only one pencil mark remains in a square.
Despite my wishlist for these features, I bought this app. I tried every other sudoku app at PalmGear before buying this one. None others came close to Numberz.

There isn't much to say about Sudoku. It's a logical an nice puzzle. But this game has a lot of features and the last version has even snapshots so you can go back to a point where, e.g., you started to make some guesses. The support is also very good and they add suggestions and fix bugs real fast. I have tested some Sudoku games, but this is the one! It's worth to try!
